See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.
The Gipsy Moth is situated adjacent to a bowling alley and other food outlets just off the Purley Way (A23). More interestingly it is opposite the site of the Croydon Airport, with a De Haviland Heron from the 1950's outside the airport buildings; the control tower is open as a visitor attraction on the first Sunday of each month. The pub is run by Orchid as part of its carvery chain and advertises food all day. It is also open 7-9am for breakfast (8-10 Sun). It has a large bar area, much of which is laid out for dining, although there is also a pool table and TV to one side. The guest beer will be from the Greene King stable. Unfortunately it will not be possible to arrive by air, but buses 119 & 289 will avoid the use of the large car park.
