Acquired from Wetherspoon in the spring 2016, the Shelverdine Goathouse was opened by Antic on 29 September. Large windows on to the street give a light and airy feel to the 'shabby chic' interior, typical of the style used in many of the company's pubs. The three sections of the large bar area have differing styles of wall decor, featuring clocks, kitchen equipment and pictures among other features. One regular Volden beer is supplemented by up to five other ales and the range features London breweries. The name comes from a previous name for the local area and a former local landmark pub (the Goat House) which was nearby. Note that when Crystal Palace are playing a home match, the pub will use plastic glasses.
