Located at the top of the town's historic street market, this pub is popular with younger drinkers. It is spacious, and the large windows give an open feel. Latterly badged as a Craft Union outlet. NB: The Market Tavern closed on 21 September 2025. It may be a temporary closure because the licensee has moved on, or the owners may have different plans. More information would be welcome.
